ANORA Project is a shared research, training, and artistic production context, founded and directed by Tony Carnevale.
A unified path that investigates music and artistic languages as a human, relational, and expressive experience, integrating thought, creative practice, and training processes.
ANORA research is currently published mainly in the Tony Carnevale Journal (TC Journal), an editorial space dedicated to research articles on the relationship between sound, human reaction, and the psychodynamics of creative and educational processes. this is the LINK
Anora R-Evolution : A New Phase in the ANORA Path
A R-EVOLUTION understood as a change in perspective, in which thought, experience, and creation are brought back into a unified and coherent framework.
The New ANORA ProjectANORA is the acronym for Approccio NOn RAzionale (Non-Rational Approach).
Today, ANORA Project identifies the overarching framework of a path of research, mentorship and
formative work, understood as human learning and developmental processes, and artistic practice
developed by Tony Carnevale over the course of a long artistic, professional, and formative experience.
It is not a single project, nor an isolated initiative, but a unified cultural domain in which thought,
reflection, artistic practice, mentorship, writing, and creative collaboration coexist. ANORA Project è un percorso unitario. Di seguito, i suoi elementi fondamentali.
The Non-Rational Approach (ANORA Method) is enriched by research into the psychodynamics of
creative processes and the formative relationship, with particular attention to music understood as a
human expressive-representational language.
From this perspective, music is not considered only as a technical matter or an aesthetic product, but as a
form of thought, relationship, and representation of inner experience.
The research therefore integrates:
the study
ANORA Project brings together and connects:
In this sense, ANORA Project represents the ANORA world as a whole, as an open, evolving, and
multidisciplinary space.
Experiential and psychodynamic research is documented and developed through a body of publications that
collect the editorial and reflective work of Tony Carnevale.
This corpus includes the volumes Il pensiero e il suono, Il suono ritrovato (1st–4th editions), Poetica,
ricerca e formazione musicale, Formazione Musicale Psicodinamica, and Oltre le note, which represent
different phases in the theoretical development of the Non-Rational Approach.
Alongside this path stands Beyond Notes – Unlocking the Creative and Emotional Power through Music,
the first volume in English, which opens ANORA research to an international dimension and makes its
foundations accessible to a broader audience.
The’Associazione Culturale ANORA was established with the aim of:
The Association acts as a tool for dissemination and sharing, not as the author of the method.
The theoretical voice and conceptual elaboration of the Non-Rational Approach remain uniquely attributable to its author, while the Association provides the context in which this thinking can be shared, recounted, and experienced through experiences, testimonials, and practices.
ANORA Project is not a closed system, but an open and continuously evolving path that places at its
center:
Within this space, research, mentorship, creation, and production coexist — not as separate fields, but as
parts of a single process.
is an operational and collaborative domain within ANORA Project, dedicated to artistic collaborations.
It is not a formative path in the traditional sense, but an evolved mode of continuation of the formative
path, which develops through the creation of works within a context of real artistic collaboration.
Within this domain, in continuity with a way of doing formation long practiced within the ANORA
Laboratories, Tony Carnevale participates directly in the projects as a co-author, in addition to his role
as artistic director, actively contributing to the creative and realization processes together with the other
artists involved.
In this space, creative practice becomes direct experience of work, exchange, and production.
The project is open to artists working through different expressive-representational languages, including
music, dance, theatre, cinema, audiovisual media, visual and performative arts.
Artists for Artists was created with the aim of:
Artists may propose a project that includes music.
If the project is consistent with the artistic vision of the ANORA Project, collaboration in its realization is free of charge, as a cultural and non-commercial choice.
The artistic direction of the projects is entrusted to Tony Carnevale, who coordinates the creative and
realization processes, ensuring coherence with the overall vision of ANORA Project.
Artists for Artists is neither a production label nor a record label, but a contextual signature, identifying
works born within a shared artistic collaboration experience.
The evaluation of proposed projects is free of charge.
Each proposal is analyzed to understand any developments, adaptations, or possibilities for implementation.
ANORA Project reserves the possibility of realizing the works using its own means, with no costs for the
artists involved.

HANDS is the first work realized within ANORA Project – Artists for Artists.
A collaborative project between Stefania Graziani, a participant in the ANORA Laboratories, and Tony
Carnevale, born within the context of the Laboratories themselves.
The work places at its center the artisanal dimension of artistic making:
hands as the realizing instrument of imagination, gesture arising from relationship.
HANDS represents a concrete example of the evolution of the ANORA formative path, in which a way of
doing formation initially developed within the Laboratories transforms into real, co-authorial artistic
collaboration.
A work that affirms the value of human work and the creative process as a conscious alternative to
automation and the indiscriminate use of artificial intelligence, proposing a different and evolved way of
continuing the artistic formative path.

ANORA, an acronym for Approccio NOn RAzionale (Non-Rational Approach), is a different way of experiencing music and artistic performances, based on extensive artistic and professional experience, combined with equally extensive research into the non-rational reality of human beings.
The activity of ANORA Association is mainly in the field of music, but it extends, frequently, into other artistic and cultural fields. However, the focus is on training and research into expressive-representational thinking and the psychoacoustic and psychodynamic aspects of the creative process and the training relationship. The ANORA method and the research and experiences from which it was developed are collected in the books of Tony Carnevale, president of the association.
